Leapfrog Jumps Ahead at LabelExpo Europe 2015
Some of the largest potential for 3D printing lies in the production and manufacturing industry. Specifically, the technology’s ability to produce goods onshore, reduce shipping costs, and bring labor and creation in-house. These ripples throughout the supply chain have long excited 3D printing early adopters, but have only just started to emerge in marketable results. At the celebrated production conference, LabelExpo Europe 2015, Leapfrog jumped ahead of the competition, exhibiting its two newest units and their unique real-world applications.
During LabelExpo, the Leapfrog Xeed 3D printer and Leapfrot Creatr HS printer delighted industry leaders with live demos, showcasing the production materials and output the 3D printers could generate. In a presentation, Leapfrog Account Manager Frank Valkenburg, discussed the commercial benefits of 3D printing as it relates to assembly, packaging, and spare parts creation. The results of the multi-day expo were a huge leap forward for Leapfrog, solidifying the brand’s reputation as a thought leader and industry leader.
In case you missed it, here is an overview of the two Leapfrog 3D printers highlighted at LabelExpo:
The Xeed 3D printer brings your team together through a shared network work system that allows engineers and designers to send each other jobs and collaborate, before prioritizing and printing projects. Because the Xeed is built with efficiency in mind, the 3D printer comes standard with Leapfrog’s signature QuickLoad functionality, which allows team members to easily change or load additional filament without huge production delays. Thanks to the printer’s dual extrusion, auto calibration, and rapid slicing technology, the Xeed boosts printer speed by streamlining the work process for bigger, bolder creations. Because the Xeed is also priced with small businesses and innovators in mind, it’s the perfect 3D printer for newer operations and emerging 3D-ready teams.
The Creatr HS takes speed and efficiency to the next level. With up to 300 mm/s printing speed, and large dual extrusion, the Creatr HS boasts the biggest build volume and fastest output in its class. The bottom line? Print five times faster than traditional 3D printers, while combining print materials and colors with ease. It’s one of Leapfrog’s most robust 3D printers and comes complete with Leapfrog’s exclusive creation studio to accelerate the design process and get your output printing faster than ever.
Although Leapfrog is a familiar name in the 3D printing world, their demonstrations and presence at LabelExpo 2015 was just one more notch on their illustrious post proving that the next industrial revolution may be closer than we think.
